Exclude pages containing specified words
Allows you to narrow a search by excluding pages containing specified words or
expressions. It is important to put space before the "minus" sign and leave no
space after it.
For example: to find all documents containing word curriculum but not containing
word provider, type
Search by pattern
Allows you to search documents containing words, that match a specified pattern. The
character '?' means any character, wherease the
character '*' means a sequence of any characters. You should use at least
3 non-pattern characters in the beginning of a pattern.
For example: to find all documents containing words beginning with provider,
type
Logical OR
Allows you to search documents for at least one of the specified words or expressions.
For example: to find all documents containing word provider or providers, type
Complex expressions
Allows you to search documents that match specific complex expressions. The expression can
be composed using AND OR | boolean operators, subexpressions can be grouped using
parenthesis. A subexpression can be another boolean expression or just a word, pattern, or
phrase. Only the OR or | operators and parentheses can
be used inside phrase.
For example: to find documents containing either phrase "curriculum development"
or word provider on sites matching pattern www.isbe.net, type
